Korean sales company FineCut has announced post-EFM deals including Korean War film 71- Into The Fire which the film’s UK distributor Showbox Media Group has picked up US and Australia rights for as well.

Atlantic picked up Scandinavia rights and Hwa Yea Multimedia took Malaysia for 71 – Into The Fire.

Kim Jee-woon’s controversial I Saw The Devil added sales to E-One Entertainment for Australia and New Zealand as well as to STG for Thailand. The film is being released in US this week by Magnolia Pictures.

Last year’s local hit romantic comedy Cyrano Agency sold to Fine Films for Japan and STG for Thailand in addition to its deal for Singapore (Clover Films) and Taiwan (Catchplay).

Last year’s Cannes titles Lee Chang-dong’s Poetry sold to Metropole for Canada and Tucker Film for Italy while Bedevilled went to Mongrel Media for Canada and J-Bics for Thailand.

As previously reported, Finecut also negotiated a remake deal with Chris Columbus and his 1492 Pictures for the hit family movie Hello Ghost starring Cha Tae-hyun. The original film is currently playing in US theatres through CJ CGV Holdings and was sold to Catchplay for Taiwan and MegaFilm for China.
