Pick ups included Dom Hemingway from HanWay Films and Agent: Century 21 from Exclusive Media Group.

Front Row Filmed Entertainment (FR) and the Kuwait National Cinema Company (KNCC) have revealed their acquisition slate from Cannes.

Front Row picked up Agent: Century 21, A Walk Among Tombstones, Jonathan Mostow’s Sill Of Night and At Any Price from Exclusive Media Group.

From Protagonist Pictures, acquisitions included the third installment of the StreetDance franchise StreetDance: All Stars in 3D; John Michael McDonagh’s Calvary,  Richard Ayoade’s The Double as well as Vertigo’s Viking epic Hammer of the Gods [pictured].

It also picked up Jude Law crime thriller Dom Hemingway, Long Way Down, A Kim Jon Il Production and God Help The Girl from HanWay Films.

Front Row also acquired rights from Entertainment 1 to comedy Freezing People starring Owen Wilson, Paul Rudd, Kristin Wiig and Chris Walken as well as the Palestinian themed drama Inch’Allah.

From Embankment Films it picked up Lady Diana biopic Diana starring Naomi Watts and Robert Pattinson thriller Mission: Blacklist.

Front Row’s Arab counterpart KNCC, has also acquired Arabic language feature films including the blockbuster starring Mohammad Hinedy Tita Rahiba Mona Zaky’s Aswar Al Kamar from United Brothers Films; Hilm Azizfrom Al Aarabiya and Rotana Pictures’ Lamh El Basar starring Hussein Fahmy as well as Ramez Galal’s “Untitled Project”.

We are now able to release between 25-30 theatrical titles a year” says Gianluca Chakra, managing director of Front Row.
