 HanWay has announced a slew of deals for Toronto Midnight Madness title You’re Next.

Thorsten Schumacher, HanWay’s MD, confirmed that the film has now sold to more than 30 territories. Those deals include the UK (Icon), Germany (Splendid), France and Benelux (French Connection), Japan (Asmik Ace), CIS, (Volga), Australia (Icon) Latin America (Sun Distribution).

Adam Wingard directed from a script by Simon Barrett, about a family under attack from mysterious killers during a family reunion getaway.

The cast features Sharni Vinson, Joe Swanberg, A.J. Bowen, Nicholas Tucci and Barbara Crampton.

Snoot Entertainment’s Keith Calder and Jessica Wu produced the project with Simon Barrett and Kim Sherman. Snoot’s past productions include The Greatest Movie Ever Sold, Thunder Soul, and Bunraku.

Schumacher said: “You’re Next is a fantastic, edge of your seat ride, inventively written, expertly directed and with great performances. Our distributors saw the amazing audience reaction and critical acclaim in Toronto and the mainstream crossover potential. We consequently sold the film out the same weekend it premiered.”

HanWay’s busy autumn slate also includes David Cronenberg’s A Dangerous Method, Steve McQueen’s Shame, Andrea Arnold’s Wuthering Heights and Dustin Hoffman’s Quartet, which just started shooting.
