High Point has picked up distribution rights to Michael Henry’s thriller, which will play in TIFF’s Discovery section.

High Point Films has picked up worldwide rights, excluding Australia and New Zealand, to Michael Henry’s debut feature Blame

Selected for the Toronto Film Festival’s Discovery section, Blame centres on a group of young vigilantes who, driven by what they believe to be a grave sexual betrayal, violently break into a man’s house to exact their revenge.

PackScreen is distributing the film in Australia and New Zealand with a release scheduled for later this year.

Starring Sophie Lowe, the film is produced by Ryan Hodgson and Melissa Kelly for Perth based Factor 30 Films and Michael Robinson for Melbourne based 3monkeyfilms.

Carey Fitzgerald of High Point Media Group described Blame as a “superior thriller in every respect.”

“Director and writer, Michael Henry, takes a deceptively simple idea and makes it utterly compelling.  As Toronto happily recognise, he is definitely someone to watch and we’re absolutely thrilled to be involved,” she added.
