HSI Films president Eric Christenson will commence pre-sales at AFM on the comedy directed by Josh Stern.

The film is scheduled to shoot in Rio in January and centres on a sports scout who is sent to Brazil to sign the world’s best football player and will inherit the agency if he accomplishes the task.

The scout’s best friend tags along and has an affair with the player’s girlfriend, throwing everything into jeopardy.

“We are thrilled to be handling the foreign sales duties for this side-splitting comedy,” Christenson said. “John Cusack is an amazing talent and Johnny Knoxville is always hilarious.”

Stone Village is producing and financing. The company’s Scott Steindorff, Dylan Russell and Scott LaStaiti serve as producers. HSI CEO Steven Saxton will serve as an executive producer.

Former agent David Styne wrote the initial script, which was rewritten by Stern.
