IFC Midnight announced in Cannes it has acquired US rights from IM Global to André Øvredal’s The Autopsy Of Jane Doe starring Emile Hirsch, Brian Cox, and Ophelia Lovibond.
Fred Berger, Eric Garcia, Ben Pugh and Rory Aitken of 42 produced, with IM Global founder and CEO Stuart Ford serving as executive producer alongside Matt Jackson and Steven Squillante.
The Autopsy Of Jane Doe follows father-and-son coroners who uncover terrifying secrets when they examine a mysterious homicide victim.
Ford and general counsel Deborah Zipser of IM Global brokered the deal on behalf of the film-makers with Sundance Selects/IFC Films senior vice-president of acquisitions Arianna Bocco and senior vice-president of legal and business affairs Betsy Rodgers.
