Image Entertainment has acquired North American rights to Caliber Media’s creature feature and will release theatrically this year.

Jack Heller directed the story starring Kevin Durand and Lukas Haas as police officers who battle an ancient evil. Tyler Hisel wrote the Black List screenplay that was known as The Trees.

Dark Was The Night premiered at ScreamFest in Los Angeles.

Heller produced with his Caliber partner Dallas Sonnier, Sundial’s Stefan Nowicki and Joey Carey, and P Street’s Dylan Narang. 

Preferred Content’s Kevin Iwashina and Ross Dinerstein served as executive producers with Hisel and Alexander Robb.
