The entertainment company will produce and distribute Cabin Fever: Patient Zero and Cabin Fever: Outbreak and will shoot them back-to-back at its facilities in the Dominican Republic in spring 2012.

Jake Wade Wall will write Cabin Fever: Patient Zero, which tells of a collision between a Caribbean cruise liner and an abandoned researched ship that infects passengers with a deadly virus.

Adam and Deborah Marcus will co-write Cabin Fever: Outbreak, about a doctor and his family on vacation who discover a flesh-eating virus and must try to prevent a global epidemic.

Original Cabin Fever producer Hypotenuse Pictures is producing the projects and Indomina Group vice-chairman and CEO Jasbinder Singh Mann will serve as executive producer.

“We see tremendous potential with the Cabin Fever franchise,” Singh Mann said. “We are committing to two new Cabin Fever films because there is a real demand from a devout fanbase – not just Cabin Fever die-hards but a large and vocal group of horror fans around the world. Indomina is excited to take the reigns of the franchise and deliver on these next two films.”

Indomina Group recently acquired the Simon Pegg comedy A Fantastic Fear Of Everything and thriller Johnnie To’s Life Without Principle.
