Saw creator James Wan has closed an eight-film deal with Icon Entertainment International kicking off with House of Horror.

Icon Film Distribution will release the projects in the UK and Paradigm Motion Picture Finance Group, who brokered the overall eight-film deal, will represent North American sales on the titles.

Javier Gutierrez will direct House Of Horror from a screenplay by Max La Bella based on a story by Wan, who will produce with Lee Clay.

“I wanted to have the creative freedom and the ability to work with really artistic filmmakers who can help me bring an original and innovative style of genre films to the public,” Wan said.

“We are creating an exciting partnership within a proven genre in which James Wan has a tremendous track record,” Icon managing director Hugo Grumbar added
