The arthouse distributor has acquired all US rights to Avishai Sivan’s drama following its US premiere in Telluride at the weekend. Separately, IFC Midnight has picked up Travis Z’s Cabin Fever and Broad Green and Tugg will partner on the release of Last Days In The Desert.
Tikkun earned the Locarno Silver Leopard (Special Jury Prize) and won best Israeli feature, screenplay and actor among others at the 32nd Jerusalem Film Festival.
Kino Lorber plans a full theatrical, VOD and home media release in 2016 for the story of an ultra-Orthodox religious scholar wrestling with his faith.

- IFC Midnight has taken North American rights to Cabin Fever, a reboot of Eli Roth’s classic modern horror film that Roth himself has produced and co-wrote with Randy Pearlstein. IFC will release in 2016 after striking the deal with WME Global.
- Broad Green Pictures has picked up US rights to Rodrigo García’s Last Days In The Desert and will partner on the release with Tugg, the first collaboration since it acquired a stake in Tugg in 2014. The film premiered at Sundance and stars Ewan McGregor as Jesus and the Devil. Tye Sheridan, Ciarán Hinds and Ayelet Zurer also star. Broad Green will release in 2016 and negotiated the deal with WME Global. HanWay Films handles international sales.
- Breaking Glass Pictures has acquired US rights to Sweaty Betty from first-time directors Joseph Frank and Zachary Reed. Sweaty Betty premiered at SXSW this year and centres on dreamers and a giant pig in the Washington DC area. Breaking Glass plans a November 27 theatrical release followed by digital.
