Gabrielle Provaas and Rob Schröder’s documentary Meet The Fokkens received its world premiere at IDFA in Amsterdam and will kick off its US festival run at SilverDocs in mid-June.

Meet The Fokkens charts the lives of 69-year-old twins Louise and Martine Fokken, who plied their trade in Amsterdam’s Red Light district for decades until they decided to run their own brothel and set up an informal trade union for prostitutes.

Kino Lorber has set an Aug 8 theatrical release at Film Forum in New York, expanding wide in September.
