Lionsgate, SC Films partner on I Am Soldier, Green Street sequel
Lionsgate UK produces and will release two new UK productions, SC Films to handle sales.
Lionsgate UK is to release features I Am Soldier and Green Street Hooligans: Underground, two films it has produced in the UK.
SC Films has boarded international sales ahead of the EFM.
The productions reunite the studio with author and filmmaker, Ronnie Thompson, who wrote Screwed and directed Frightfest hit Tower Block, both previously released by Lionsgate UK.
I Am Soldier is a thriller written and directed by Thompson and produced by James Harris and Mark Lane under production banner The Tea Shop & Film Company alongside Lionsgate UK, is a thriller starring Tom Hughes, Noel Clarke, and Alex Reid.
Production began in various locations in the UK on Jan 21 and runs to Feb 16.
Green Street Hooligans: Underground, also written by Thompson, is directed by James Nunn and produced by Harris and Lane.
The film stars Scott Adkins and Jack Doolan alongside rising talent Kacey Barnfield. The film shot in the UK in 2012 and will be released in the autumn of 2013.
The first Green Street, starring Elijah Wood and Charlie Hunnam, was released in 2005 and was followed by a straight-to-DVD sequel in 2009.
