The company will distribute Oliver Dieckmann’s Christmas family feature in the UK and Ireland.
Munro Film Services has picked up UK and Irish theatrical distribution rights to Christmas family feature When Santa Fell To Earth.
The film is based on the novel of the same name by Cornelia Funke, whose Inkheart story – part of the Ink-trilogy - was made into a feature in 2008.
When Santa Fell To Earth is directed by Oliver Dieckmann and produced by Uschi Reich of Bavaria Filmverleih und Produktions GmbH. The film stars Alexander Sheer, Jessica Schwarz, Volker Lechtenbrink and Noah Kraus.
Munro Film Services plan a small to medium release of the film into selected cinemas from the end of November.
Frank Smith, managing director of Munro Film Services said, “We are delighted to bring this film to the UK market, as well as working closely with the film’s licensor, Sola-Media, and the production company. Families are going to be in for a treat.”
