Myriad Pictures has brought a Mike Figgis project into the AFM, acquiring worldwide rights excluding the UK to Seconds Of Pleasure based on a screenplay by Neil LaBute. Shooting is set for summer 2012.

Matt Dillon, Julia Stiles, Brendan Fraser, Kristin Scott Thomas and Christina Hendricks will star in the ensemble drama which Scottish broadcaster STV developed and is producing.

Seconds Of Pleasure weaves together the stories of six couples on a flight from Chicago to London.

STV Productions’ head of drama Margaret Enefer produces with Bill Shapter and Neil LaBute.

“We’re delighted to be working with Myriad on this fantastic film,” Enefer said. “Neil has written an incredibly candid, blazingly witty script. We know Mike Figgis will make it shine in the most sensitive and imaginative way possible. It’s a thrill to have them working together with this amazing cast.”

“We immediately responded to Neil’s script, which is razor-sharp, so insightful and honest, about the real challenges and temptations people face every day,” Myriad CEO Kirk D’Amico said. “Mike Figgis is the perfect director to bring this script to life, especially with this extraordinary cast.”
