New Films International is launching sales here on A Novel Romance starring Shannon Elizabeth and Steve Guttenberg.

The story screens in the market next week and tells of two New Yorkers who fall for each other after they move in together when one loses his job and the other loses her boyfriend.

NFI chief content officer Ron Gell closed the deal with Graham Taylor of WME Global and producer Morris Levy. Allie Dvorin wrote and directed and the cast includes Natalya Rudakova.

“We are huge fans of Steve Guttenberg and Shannon Elizabeth and Morris Levy is just a consummate professional,” Gell said.

“We’re thrilled to be distributing A Novel Romance, which features such a world-renowned cast,” NFI president Nesim Hason said. “We focus on delivering cast-driven films to our distributors.”

NFI’s slate includes the dark comedy Petunia which is currently shooting and stars Thora Birch, Christine Lahti and Eddie Kaye Thomas, and Score: A Hockey Musical.
