The Swedish distributor has secured a number of titles including Sundance hits Beasts Of The Southern Wild and Searching For Sugar Man.

NonStop Entertainment has picked up Sundance winners Beasts of the Southern Wild and Searching for Sugar Man.

The Stockholm based distributor acquired Behn Zeitlin’s debut feature Beasts Of The Southern Wild, which won the Grand Jury and Cinematography prizes at Sundance, from Entertainment One.

It also picked up Malik Bendjelloul’s documentary Searching For Sugar Man from Protagonist Pictures. The film about a musician who disappeared in the US in the 60s only to become a phenomenon in South Africa, won the Special Jury Prize and Audience Award at Sundance.

NonStop will distribute both films in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland and the Baltic countries. Fox Searchlight is distributing in the US.

The Swedish distributor has also done a number of deals with Memento Film Sales, picking up Craig Zobel’s  Compliance, The Class director Laurent Cantet’s Foxfire and Agnes Jaoui’s Under The Rainbow.

Other deals with Protagonist Pictures include Bart Leyton’s documentary about a French conman, The Imposter, and Lynn Shelton’s Your Sister’s Sister starring Emily Blunt and Mark Duplass

Nonstop has also acquired 28 Hotel Rooms from Elle Driver and documentary Bill Cunningham New York from Submarine.
