Universal Studios Home Entertainment (USHE) will handle all marketing, sales and distribution services for Blu-ray, DVD and digital platforms of Open Road Films’ theatrical titles.
The first release on Sept 23 will be the thriller Killer Elite starring Jason Statham, Clive Owen and Robert De Niro. Open Road announced that deal with Omnilab Media in Cannes.
“Universal promises to be a terrific home entertainment distributor as we grow Open Road Films,” Open Road CEO Tom Ortenberg said. “We are thrilled with this new relationship and look forward to working with Craig, USHE marketing head Hilary Hoffman and their team to leverage their depth of expertise in the ever-changing home entertainment space.”
