Panorama buys It Came From Yesterday

Panorama Entertainment announced Tuesday [19] it has secured North American rights to the sci-fi horror film It Came From Yesterday.

The film was produced and licensed by Clear Conscience Pictures and relies on a mix of technology, live-action creature work and puppetry to deliver a retroactive feel.

“I wanted to show the audience my interpretation of the films of the 40’s and 50’s; my love and admiration for the craftsmen who really pioneered not only a genre, but film-making itself,” said writer-director Jeff Waltrowski.

“When you watch It Came From Yesterday, you’re seeing those films through my eyes. There’s the great effects, the camp and the schtick, but there’s also a strong emotional centre and characters with hearts of gold.”

“We are proud to have our film distributed by a company with such a great understanding of this property,” added producer Steve Tolin. “And we are sure buyers and spectators will truly love the experience the film brings.”

Panorama plans to focus on a theatrical release after the Academy Awards and will submit the film to US film festivals including Worldfest Houston and Stony Brook. The company has scheduled VoD, digital and DVD roll-out for the third quarter.
