Pathe International has picked up foreign sales on the horror film Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark and will commence foreign sales at the EFM next month.

Pathe previously picked up international rights to Gnomeo And Juliet from Disney/Miramax before Disney sold Miramax Films to Filmyard Holdings; Disney will release Gnomeo in North America next month. No domestic distributor on Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark has yet been confirmed.

Guillermo del Toro and Mark Johnson produced the story on which comic book illustrator Troy Nixey makes his feature directorial debut.

Guy Pearce plays the father of a little girl who unleashes malign spirits when she goes to live with him and his girlfriend at the old mansion they are renovating. Katie Holmes and Bailee Madison also star.
