Ariel Veneziano’s boutique sales agency Recreation has boarded international sales rights to Alistair Banks Griffin’s Directors Fortnight entry Two Gates Of Sleep.

Brady Corbet, David Call and Karen Young star in the tale of two brothers who embark on an arduous trip up the Mississippi to honour their dead mother’s final request. The world premiere is on May 18.

Josh Mond of New York-based Borderline Films produced with Andrew F Renzi and his Borderline co-founders Antonio Campos and Sean Durkin served as executive producers.

Campos directed the 2008 Directors Fortnight entry Afterschool, while Durkin’s short Mary Last Seen screens in Directors Fortnight.

Veneziano is also handling North American sales on Two Gates Of Sleep through his consultancy Recreation Media.

“We are thrilled to be handling this innovative and beautiful film and to be partnering with such an exciting group of film-makers,” Veneziano said. “

Recreation’s Cannes roster includes Ludi Boeken’s SavioursIn The Night, the part-concert, part-documentary title Edith Piaf, and Jan Hrebejk’s Kawasaki’s Rose.
