Morris Ruskin’s LA-based sales company has picked up worldwide sales rights to The Ways Of Wine (El Camino Del Vino) ahead of its Berlinale premiere.

Nicolas Carreras’s Argentinean feature debut will screen in the Culinary Cinema Section on Tuesday [15] and tells the story of renowned wine connoisseur Charlie Arturaola who loses his sense of taste and embarks on a adventure to recover it. 

Shoreline’s executive vice-president Sam Eigen negotiated the deal with producer Tomas Cohen following a screening at the Ventana Sur market in Argentina late last year.

“The Ways Of Wine is a universal story about a man who has to return to his roots to find himself again,” Ruskin said. “It is told with humour and pathos in such a way that people will love the film and be able to relate to the main character.”

Recent Shoreline slate additions include Slip And Fall with William Forsythe and Red Nights, which premiered in Toronto last autumn.
