Sundance Selects buys Blue Caprice
The distributor announced on Tuesday  it had acquired North American and Latin American rights to Alexandre Moors’ debut feature that premiered in Sundance.
R.F.I. Porto wrote the screenplay to the psychological thriller about an abandoned boy who falls under the influence of a sinister father figure. Isaiah Washington, Tequan Richmond, Joey Lauren Adams, Tim Blake Nelson and Leo Fitzpatrick.
Blue Caprice is based on the Beltway Sniper attacks that took place over the course of three weeks in October 2002 in the Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia areas.
Isen Robbins, Aimee Schoof, Ron Simons, Stephen Tedeschi, Brian O’Carroll, Kim Jackson and Will Rowbotham produced.Sundance Selects negotiated the deal with Cinetic on behalf of the film-makers.
The film will open Film Society Of Lincoln Center and MOMA’s 2013 New Directors/New Films Festival on Mar 20.
