The event runs concurrently with the established festival from Apr 20-May 1 and will grant free access to features and shorts.

The initiative will feature five areas: Festival Streaming Room, Live From…, Tribeca Q&A, Filmmaker Feed and the Future of Film blog.

The Streaming Room will host six features from the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival, two of which receive their world premieres, and 18 shorts, four of which are world premieres.

Each film will have three to five 24-hour screening windows during which there will be a select number of “seats” available. Viewers can reserve digital seats through www.tribceaonline.com.

Online viewers can vote for the $25,000 Best Tribeca Online Feature Film sponsored by American Express and $5,000 Best Tribeca Online Short Film sponsored by Accenture.
