Mark Lindsay has been named president of sales and acquisitions for Arclight Films and will head up the company’s New York office.

Lindsay most recently served as president of the now defunct Kimmel International and before that held senior positions at Miramax International, Spelling Films International and Lorimar Motion Pictures. He reports to Arclight managing director Gary Hamilton.

“Mark is one of the industry’s most experienced international sales and distribution executives, and he has a long and successful involvement in identifying projects and negotiating financing for features and co-productions,” Hamilton said. “So we are delighted that he has joined us.”

“Arclight has established itself as one of the strongest international sales companies in the industry, so I am proud to be joining Gary and his team and am looking forward to contributing to their ongoing success,” Lindsay said.

Lindsay has overseen licensing and international distribution of hundreds of films such as Chicago, Scream, ScaryMovie, Kill Bill, Sin City, and The Usual Suspects. He is a former member of the board of directors of the International Film and Television Alliance.

Arclight’s COO Kevin Fry brokered Lindsay’s deal with the company.
