Magnet Releasing has acquired US rights to V/H/S: Viral and has earmarked an autumn release. Epic Pictures represents international rights and commences talks with buyers on the Croisette this week.

The third entry in the V/H/S horror franchise features segments directed by Nacho Vigalondo, Marcel Sarmiento, Gregg Bishop, Justin Benson and Todd Lincoln.

Gary Binkow and Brad Miska produced for Collective Digital Studio and Bloody Disgusting, marking the third collaboration with Magnet in the series.

Story sections include the tale of a deranged illusionist who obtains a magical object, a homemade machine that opens a door to a parallel world, teen skaters who unwillingly become targets of a Mexican death cult ritual and a shadowy organisation tracking a serial killer.

The segments are tied together by the story of a group of fame-obsessed teens following a violent car chase in LA who unwittingly become stars of the next internet sensation.

Magnet svp of acquisitions Dori Begley brokered the deal with Gary Binkow of Collective Digital Studio.
