Dean Devlin’s action film starring Gerard Butler will open on October 21 2016, the studio has announced.

The story of a man who heads into space to disable potentially catastrophic satellites while his brother uncovers a presidential assassination plot will open in 2D and 3D.

Warner Bros also said it was moving Andy Serkis’ feature directorial debut The Jungle Book: Origins from October 21 2016 up by two weeks to October 6. This title will also be available in 2D and 3D.

Meanwhile family film Max moves into the August 21 2015 slot.  

Universal have moved the Judd Apatow comedy Trainwreck starring Amy Schumer from July 24 2015 up by one week to July 17.
