SS-GB is based on Len Deighton’s 1978 novel of the same name and will air on BBC One in the UK.

James Bond screenwriters Neal Purvis and Robert Wade adapted the speculative story, which takes place in a London in the 1940s occupied by the Nazis as a detective stumbles upon a web of intrigue.

Jason Flemyng, James Cosmo, Aneurin Barnard and Maeve Dermody also star alongside German actors Rainer Bock and Lars Eidinger.

Germany’s Philipp Kadelbach directs and executive producers are Sid Gentle Films’ Sally Woodward Gentle and Lee Morris.

The miniseries marks the second partnership between the Weinsteins, BBC, Lookout Point, and BBCWW this year following War & Peace.

David Glasser, Negeen Yazdi, James Gold, Michal Podell Steinberg, and Talia Houminer negotiated the deal for TWC with BBCWW and Lookout Point.
