EXCLUSIVE: As Cannes slates continue to come together with a week to go before the market kicks off on the Croisette, Lionsgate International has confirmed it will commence pre-sales on The Last Witch Hunter.

Vin Diesel will star as the immortal witch hunter Kaulder, who must team up with a Catholic priest and a benign witch to thwart an attempt by his foe Belial from possessing an all-powerful talisman.

Cory Goodman wrote the screenplay, which takes place in the present day.

Breck Eisner will direct and principal photography on the Mark Canton Productions and One Race Entertainment project is scheduled for February 2014.

Mark Canton, Bernie Goldmann and Diesel are producing The Last Witch Hunter and Summit Entertainment holds US rights.
