Works rises with Matt Whitecross' Ashes

UK sales outfit The Works International has boarded international sales on new Mat Whitecross thriller Ashes starring Ray Winstone, Jim Sturgess, Lesley Manville, Jodie Whittaker and Luke Evans. Ashes, currently in post-production, follows the difficult reconciliation of a father and son who go on the run after the son breaks his father out of hospital.

Producers are Esther Douglas and Fiona Neilson of Fiesta Productions and executive producers are Steve Christian and Marc Samuelson of CinemaNX, Phillip Keir of Merzbau and Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland, Will Champion and Chris Martin of band Coldplay.

CinemaNX will release in the UK.
