Wrekin Hill has acquired US rights from K5 International to Bille August’s thriller Night Train To Lisbon. Separarely IFC has acquired Tribeca premiere Adult World.

Jeremy Irons, Jack Huston, Melanie Laurent, Martina Gedeck, August Deihl, Bruno Ganz, Lena Olin, Christopher Lee and Charlotte Rampling star.

Gregg Latter and Ulrich Herrmann adapted Pascal Mercier’s novel about a Swiss professor who embarks on an adventure in Lisbon after a mysterious young Portuguese woman introduces him to a book.

Studio Hamburg FilmProduktion and C-FILMS AG Zuerich produced the film in co-production with C-Films Deutschland, Cinemate Portugal and Tele Muenchen Group.

Night Train To Lisbon premiered in Berlin earlier this year and Wrekin Hill plans a 2013 release. Wrekin Hill’s Chris Ball and Rene Cogan brokered the deal with Carl Clifton at K5.

  • IFC has acquired North American rights to Scott Coffey’s Adult World following its Tribeca premiere last month. Emma Roberts stars in the Treehouse Pictures and Anonymous Content comedy as a shy college graduate who takes a job at the local sex store. IFC brokered the deal with CAA and plans to release the comedy day-and-date in theatres and on VoD.
