UK distributor’s sales division picks up all international rights for Doug Block’s [pictured] documentary.

Dogwoof Global has acquired all international rights for Doug Block’s 112 Weddings, which sees the director revisit his favourite wedding couples over the years as his 25th wedding anniversary approaches.

Block’s documentary, funded in part by HBO Documentary Films and Tribeca Film Institute Documentary Fund, is currently in post and Dogwoof will also represent the film as producer of marketing and distribution, as well as distributing it in the UK. The film, which is expected to be completed later next year, is produced by Lori Cheatle and Doug Block.

Vesna Cudic, of Dogwoof Global, negotiated the deal and commented: “We immediately fell in love with the concept. 112 Weddings will resonate with the audiences the world over. Doug is a unique and a wonderful filmmaker and we are very proud to be representing him.”

Block added: “Lori and I are thrilled to be working with the entire Dogwoof team. And we appreciate the faith they’ve shown in us and in the film by jumping on board so early.”
