The film’s directors Delphine and Muriel Coulin will receive the award at the Deauville American Film Festival in September.

Based on a true story, the film centres around 17 girls who decided to get pregnant at the same time.  It stars Louise Grinberg, Juliette Darche, Roxanne Duran, Esther Garrel and Yara Pilartz.

Delphine and Muriel Coulin, who wrote and directed the first time feature, will receive €3000, along with the film’s producer, Denis Freyd, who will also pick up €3000. The French distributor Diaphana will pick up €10,000 to help promote the film.

Created in 1991 by the members of the Motion Picture Association, the Prix Michel d’Ornano gives a grant to a debut French film.

The film will be screened in September at the Deauville American Film Festival before being released in France by Diaphan on Dec 17.
