For the second year the programme is open to applicants from across the whole of the European Union.

The ninth edition of film business training programme Inside Pictures opened for applications today, with participants from across the whole of the European Union invited to apply.

15 film executives and producers will be chosen to take part in the prestigious programme which is run by Michael Kuhn’s Qwerty Films together with the National Film and Television School. The programme will consit of three intensive one week modules and a tailored project, taking place between London and LA between June and December 2012.

THe programme was previously only open to those who could show a “commitment to the UK film industry”, but last year the remit was widened to film executives and producers from the whole of the European Union.

It will be joint funded by the MEDIA Programme and Skillset.

Industry professionals expected to act as mentors/speakers during the scheme include Jeffrey Katzenberg, CEO, Dreamworks Animation, Vincent Grimond, chairman and CEO, Wildbunch; Peter Aalbaeck Jensen, CEO, Zentropa; Romain Bessi, EVP strategy finance & technical, Studio Canal amd Tim Bevan, co-chairman, Working Title Films.
