The festival, now in its 9th edition, will run from July 2-13, with a special focus on Mexico.
The Paris Cinema International Film Festival has announced part of the line-up for its 9th edition in July, which includes a retrospective tribute to US director Don Siegel.
Taking place across 15 different venues in Paris, the Paris Cinema IFF will give ten indepedent films, and their directors, the chance to be showcased at the event. They will also be in the running for the Jury Award, the Audience Award, the Student Award and the Bloggers Award.
The festival will focus on Mexico this edition, and take a look at contemporary Mexican cinema through shorts and features, Lucha Libre (Mexican wrestling), animated films, arthouse and more.
British actor Michael Lonsdale and Polish director Jerzy Skolimowski will also be honoured at the festival. Skolimowski will introduce a complete retrospective of his work including a premiere of Deep End.
The Paris Project, which will showcase a numher of international projects in development and films in post-production to French professionals, will run from July 4- 7 at the BnF and MK2 Bibliothèque.
A complete line-up of the event will be avaliable by the end of April.
