The Bourne Ultimatum director will receive his award at the Ghent Film Festival on 13th October.

British director Paul Greengrass will receive the Joseph Plateau Honorary Award for Career Achievement at the upcoming 37th Ghent International Film Festival.

The award will be presented to Greengrass by Oscar nominated director Jim Sheridan on October 13th, 2010 in Ghent, Belgium.

Greengrass, who was nominated for an Oscar for United 93, as well as directing the The Bourne Ultimatum and The Bourne Supremacy and Bloody Sunday, is the latest in a series of acclaimed directors to receive the award including Bertrand Tavernier, Alain Resnais, Mike Leigh and Lord Richard Attenborough.
