Third edition of Finland’s leading international showcase to take place Sept 23-25.

An initiative of the Helsinki International Film Festival (HIFF), the Finnish Film Affair has announced its third edition will run Sept 23-25.

During this year’s HIFF (Sept 18-28), Finland’s leading international showcase will present new films and works-in-progress for sales agents, buyers and trade press.

This year’s edition will introduce new elements, such as project clinics and workshops for new talent as part of a sidebar dedicate to project development from the point of view of international marketing and sales.

Eight former projects are at this year’s Cannes with market screenings or sales agents attached. They include Apeiron (Galloping Films), Moomins on the Riviera [pictured] (Indie Sales) and Concrete Night (Film Republic), whose producer Mark Lwoff is this year’s Finnish Producer on the Move in Cannes.

This year’s Finnish Film Affair lineup of projects an international experts will be announced in mid-August.
