EXCLUSIVE: Five-film deal is led by an upcoming project from Ariel Vromen.

Freshly minted Fortitude International has lined up a key early supply deal for five films with Untitled Entertainment, led by an upcoming project from The Iceman director Ariel Vromen.

International sales and financing company Fortitude launched last month headed by sales veteran Nadine de Barros [pictured] and producers Daniel Wagner and Robert Ogden Barnum.

Untitled Entertainment’s Laura Rister will work closely with Fortitude on the slate and de Barros will talk up the arrangement with international buyers at the EFM.

Rister and Untitled previously collaborated with Barnum on All Is Lost, Margin Call and Lawless.

“We’re looking forward to working with Fortitude as they are an entrepreneurial, forward-thinking and talent-friendly company,” said Rister. “We believe the future of independent film and television depends on forging strategic and complimentary relationships like this, and we couldn’t be happier to be in business with Nadine, Daniel and Rob.”

“With Untitled’s pool of talent and their relationships in Hollywood we will be able to build a slate representing A-list, director-driven material,” said de Barros. “I’m very excited to be working closely with Jason, Stephanie and Laura on this new venture.”

“Jason and Laura have been close friends and collaborators for years and represent the calibre of talent and material that we’re focused on here at Fortitude,” said Barnum. “We look forward to continuing our collaboration in bringing smart, provocative films to the global marketplace.”

Wagner added: “One of our main goals as a company is to identify top projects and form strategic partnerships on a global level. Our alliance with Untitled exemplifies this objective and we are excited to announce our collaboration on this slate of five films.”

Fortitude is capable of fully financing projects and is looking to assemble a slate of 10-15 commercial, director-driven films a year. The company will also focus on television.
