The recently ousted president of worldwide marketing at Sony Pictures has joined Fox as president of domestic theatrical marketing, effective January 13.
Weinstock reports to co-presidents of worldwide theatrical marketing and distribution Paul Hanneman and Tomas Jegeus.
Weinstock joined Sony in 2000 from Fox Searchlight Pictures where he started his film career.
Total LA-based production shoot days were down 8.7% in Q1.
Executive also addresses licensing of features and shows.
Further new releases this weekend include ’Jeanne Du Barry’, ‘Butterfly Tale’ and ’The Book Of Clarence’.
The ceremony will take place during the Berlinale in February.
Advertising membership grew 65% quarter-on-quarter.
