Founder and CEO Nolan Gallagher has expanded his team with the hires of Laura Florence, Dan Fisher and Rachel Koehler.

Dan Fisher

Florence (pictured, centre) will lead sales of Gravitas titles to VOD and home video platforms and most recently served as executive director of sales for Alchemy and launched her career at the now embattled distributor in 2007.

She specialises in digital and physical sales, product development, marketing and category management, and became the point person on dealings with Walmart, Costco, Vudu and more.

Fisher oversees acquisitions for Gravitas Ventures, setting strategy for identifying and tracking 20-25 annual theatrical releases and more than 300 direct to VOD films. He also maintains the company’s film festival and market coverage programme.

Prior to Gravitas he was director of worldwide acquisitions at Entertainment One. Both Fisher and Florence will report to Gallagher.

Koehler joins as acquisitions manager and most recently worked with Cinedigm as manager of digital sales and acquisitions, having joined the company in 2013.

She will work alongside Fisher to track and acquire projects that contribute to Gravitas’ slate of more than 30 releases a month.

“When we founded Gravitas in 2006, we only dared to dream we’d be celebrating ten years of working with so many diverse and talented independent filmmakers,” said Gallagher.

“It’s always exciting to add more experienced executives to the GV family and we look forward to the next ten years.”
