Jake Gyllenhaal and Naomi Watts will star in the romance for Jean-Marc Vallée, who jets in to Toronto for the Canadian premiere of Wild. Sierra/Affinity will kick off pre-sales in Toronto and CAA represents US rights.

Black Label Media, Sidney Kimmel Entertainment (SKE) and Mr. Mudd produced Demolition, based on Bryan Sipe’s Black List screenplay about a young investment banker wrestling with the aftermath of his wife’s death who meets a woman that changes his life.

Black Label and SKE will co-finance Demolition. Mr. Mudd developed the project and brought it to Black Label Media.

Principal photography is set to begin in New York on September 15 in New York City.

Black Label Media’s Molly Smith and Trent Luckinbill will produce with Kimmel and Mr. Mudd’s Lianne Halfon and Russell Smith.

The executive producers are Thad Luckinbill, Jason Reitman, Helen Estabrook, John Malkovich, Nathan Ross, Ellen Schwartz and SKE’s Carla Hacken.

Watts stars in Toronto world premieres While We’re Young by Noah Baumbach and Theodore Melfi’s St. Vincent. She also stars in Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu’s Birdman, which opened Venice and screened in Telluride.

Sierra/Affinity also handles sales on Toronto world premiere selection Nightcrawler that stars Gyllenhaal.
