EXCLUSIVE: Hollywood Classics appoints Arclight as TV and new media rep for Asia.

London-based Hollywood Classics has appointed Arclight Films as its TV and new media sales representative for all Asian territories (excluding Japan).

Former producer and distribution exec Elliot Tong, now head of Asian sales and acquisitions of the newly opened Arclight Films office in Beijing, has been appointed representative of their titles.

Tong joins the growing number of Hollywood Classics agents based in key territories including Germany, France, Japan, Italy and Latin America.

“I’m extremely fortunate to be working with John Ramchandani and the Hollywood Classics team as their Asian TV and new media representative,” said Tong, “With the support of the Arclight Films and Easternlight libraries, I’m confident this will be a successful, longstanding relationship.”

Metrodome-owned Hollywood Classics represents library titles of Universal Studios, Twentieth Century Fox, Warner Bros. and MGM, as well those of independent producers.

Arclight Films and Easternlight, the company’s specialty arm showcasing Asian-cinema, has represented Chinese hits including The Assassins, Dangerous Liasons and the upcoming Special ID.
