Eight categories up for grabs.
IFP top brass announced on Wednesday they had set the dates for the 27th annual Gotham Awards in New York.
The show will take place on November 27 at Cipriani Wall Street. Nominations are announced on October 19.
Submissions open on August 1 in eight of the competitive categories: best feature, best documentary, best actor, best actress, best screenplay, breakthrough actor, breakthrough series long form and the Bingham Ray Breakthrough Director Award.

Last year’s major winners included Moonlight (pictured)for best feature, O.J.: Made In America for best documentary, Casey Affleck for best actor (Manchester By The Sea), Isabelle Huppert for best actress (Elle), Crazy Ex-Girlfriend for breakthrough series – long form, and Her for breakthrough series – short form.
