Former MGM/US executive Chris Bosco has joined IM Global as COO, effective December 1.

Bosco will report directly to IM Global founder and CEO Stuart Ford who made the announcement on December 5.

The new arrival most recently served in Prague where he was responsible for operations and finance for the content and distribution division within Central European Media Enterprises across seven countries.

Before that he served as evp finance at UA and MGM and was involved on a $400m film financing fund.

“As we grow IM Global into an increasingly diverse business with operations on four continents, bringing on board a seasoned operational executive like Chris Bosco is a fundamental next step,” said Ford. “Chris’ background in studio operations, corporate finance and international distribution makes him a very strong addition to our senior executive team.”

“This is an extremely exciting time for IM Global as they venture towards new growth strategies and expanding their global footprint and I look forward to working with Stuart and his team on the next evolution of strategic value creation,” added Bosco.

IM Global is a partner on Fox’s upcoming holiday release Walking With Dinosaurs and Open Road’s A Haunted House sequel. Ford, president Jonathan Deckter and the team also handled international sales on the box office hit and awards contender Lee Daniel’s The Butler as well as the awards contender Before Midnight.
