Carrie Ferman earns Sony Pictures Television stripes

Sony Pictures Television (SPT) has appointed the executive to svp of business strategy and development, international production.

Ferman will support SPT’s international productions and its portfolio of 18 production companies in strategic planning and business growth.

She will report to SPT president, international production Andrea Wong and will be based in the London office.

“Strategic planning and business growth are vital levers as we map out the growth of our global portfolio,” said Wong. “Carrie’s sharp insight into the world of television and keen business intellect make her the perfect strategy advisor to our senior team.”

Ferman most recently served as CEO at Remark Media in New York. She previously held the position of vp at NBC Universal where she oversaw business development and strategy initiatives across the company’s local media division. Prior to that she held planning and analysis roles at Time Warner, Cap Gemini and The Walt Disney Company.
