Producer Cathleen Summers has been named the Spring 2013 Marion Knott Filmmaker-in-Residence at Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts.

Summers, whose credits include The Sandlot and Stakeout, has served as evp of TriStar Pictures and was also an executive at Columbia Pictures.

Each term Dodge College hosts an expert film-maker to counsel 10 selected scholars as part of its Filmmaker-in-Residence programme. 

The initiative includes bi-weekly meetings with the film-maker in a one-on-one setting to develop a project during the course of the term.
