Axume is promoted from evp, capping a swift rise since he joined in August 2010. The company also announced that Jack Campbell has arrived from Spotlight Pictures to serve as vp of distribution.
Axume will preside over an acquisition fund that the company described on Wednesday (7) as “multi-million dollar” and will continue to report to Maya Entertainment chairman and CEO Moctesuma Esparza. Campbell reports to Axume.
Prior to Maya, Axume was evp of Myriad Pictures and before that he served as vp of post production and distribution services at Mobius Films International.
Maya’s international sales slate includes La Mission starring Benjamin Bratt, The Jesuit with Michelle Rodriguez and Willem Dafoe and Café starring Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jamie Kennedy.
