Rebecca Kearey has been promoted to evp of international marketing and distribution and previously served as svp at Fox Searchlight International.

The executive will continue to be responsible for all international marketing and distribution functions for Fox Searchlight and recently assumed the same duties for Fox International Productions.

She reports to Fox International co-presidents Paul Hanneman and Tomas Jegeus, as well as Fox Searchlight presidents Stephen Gilula and Nancy Utley.

“We are thrilled to recognise Rebecca’s tremendous achievements on both the Searchlight International and Fox International Productions line-ups,” Hanneman and Jegeus said in a statement. “Rebecca has consistently raised the bar on our campaigns and box office results, and we are fortunate to have an executive of her calibre on our team.”

Since 2005 Kearey has overseen the international marketing and distribution of such Fox Searchlight hits as Black Swan, 500 Days Of Summer, Juno, Little Miss Sunshine and The Last King Of Scotland.

In 2010 she took over marketing and distribution on the Fox International Productions slate, whose successes include My Name Is Khan, the biggest Bollywood film to be released outside India.

Before joining Fox International Kearey served as svp of marketing at United Artists and also served as head of marketing and distribution at The Works in London. She began her career at Fox Searchlight in 1995 as a marketing coordinator.
