Media lawyer James Kay is joining London law firm Sheridans as part of the company’s move to expand its film, TV and sports division.  

Previously based at rival London firm Olswang, Kay will join Sheridans as a partner. He specialises in financing, production and distribution deals on feature films and TV programmes, as well as intellectual property and digital media.

The firms’ existing clients include Channel 4, National Geographic and HBO.

Sheridans’ managing partner, Howard Jones said: “I am delighted to have James join our expanding Film, TV & Sports Division and it is particularly pleasing to have someone with James’ depth of experience and background knowledge in areas which will complement those of the existing team.”
