EXCLUSIVE: Independent distributor also announces internal restructure and expansion plans for its distribution team.

Metrodome Group has announced two in-house promotions, alongside an internal restructuring.

Effective Dec 1, John Ramchandani, current head of sales, will move from Metrodome to Hollywood Classics as managing director, while Jezz Vernon, current head of distribution, has been promoted to managing director of Metrodome Distribution.

Ramchandani will report to Peter Urie, CEO of Hollywood Classics, and Vernon will report to Mark Webster, CEO of the Metrodome Group.

Distribution expansion

The company is also expanding its distribution team and are in the process of recruiting three positions: head of marketing, head of DVD sales and head of theatrical sales and TV & new media.

Webster commented: “We have a very busy 2013 with an ambitious production slate, announced at AFM, and a dedicated theatrical schedule with a variety of standout titles.

“To move the business forward, we are pleased to promote two very talented, long standing members of staff into their new positions.”

Metrodome Distributon’s 2013 slate includes Franck Khalfoun’s remake of Maniac starring Elijah Wood, Ana Piterbarg’s Everybody Has A Plan starring Viggo Mortensen, Baltasar Kormákur’s The Deep, Iceland’s official Oscar foreign language submission, Dror Moreh’s documentary The Gatekeepers and Stuart Murdoch’s God Help The Girl.
