British music business affairs executive Nora Mullally has joined Cutting Edge Group as director of business affairs and head of the legal department.

Mullally arrives with extensive experience advising companies on commissioning, rights clearance and exploitation issues in respect to film soundtracks.

Since 2009 she has served as a consultant at senior management level at EMI Music. She has also consulted at UK’s Caledor Films on a number of projects including the Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack.

“I have a passion for the music business, particularly in the area of film soundtracks,” said Mullally. “It’s great to be working with a company that focuses on helping make the best soundtracks.”

“As part of our expansion at CEG, we needed a great in-house lawyer, and that’s Nora,” said Cutting Edge Group CEO Philip Moross. “She can do it all.”

Mullally began her career at UK law firm Lee & Thompson. She has also worked at SONY Music , EMI Records LTD’s Parlophone and the legal firm SJ Berwin.
